Edward Long Fuchun
Chemist/Surveyor
Edward holds a Master of Science in Industrial Chemistry from the National University of Singapore/Technical University of Munich and a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore.
Prior to joining JCI-Seaborne as a Chemist, Edward's career was heavily involved with research in the pharmaceuticals and biotechnology industry. He has been employed with entities such as the National University of Singapore (Research Assistant), Albany Molecular Research Inc. (Research Scientist Associate) and Inventa Technologies (Synthesis Organic Chemist). As a result of his previous research roles, Edward possesses a firm grasp on the various analytical methods utilised in the chemical industry.
At JCI-Seaborne, Edward provides professional advice on quality issues pertaining to petroleum products, liquid cargoes and dry bulk cargoes. He also advises on the industry-utilized testing methods conducted in such matters and has attended as a competent witnessing party for numerous analyses conducted at major laboratories in Singapore, for the various liquid/dry cargo quality disputes faced by our P&I Clients and their assured Members.
