Helmi began his maritime career as a Deck Cadet in 2008 and progressed through the ranks up to Chief Officer, during a seagoing career spanning 15 years. Helmi is an experienced Deck Officer, with sailing experience on board Container Ships and Offshore Support Vessels.

At JCI-Seaborne, Helmi conducts a wide range of surveys on all vessel-types relating to Maritime Casualties, Cargo Operations, Cargo (Wet/Dry) Quantity/Quality Disputes and Maritime Pollution.

Qualifications:

• Certificate of Competency Class 2 (Singapore)

• 2011 - Diploma in Nautical Studies (with Merit) – Singapore Polytechnic
